Description

AgWest Farm Credit (AgWest) is committed to improving the economic and social well-being of rural communities.

The Rural Community Grant Program provides support to nonprofit organizations for projects that improve rural communities in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Examples of eligible community grant projects include:

  • a new fire engine for a rural fire department;
  • a new multi-purpose community building;

Note: Organizations applying for the Rural Community Grant Program must have a letter of support from a current AgWest employee or an active AgWest customer.

Restriction Details

Grants are not provided to/for:

  • AgWest Customers;
  • lobbying, political, or religious organizations;
  • fraternal or labor organizations;
  • projects with zero funds raised;
  • projects benefiting individuals, corporations, or LLCs;
  • operating expenses or advertising;
  • fundraising events, dinners, or benefits;
  • travel expenses for individuals or groups;
  • sports team or camp sponsorships;
  • deficits already incurred;
  • loans;
  • debt retirement;
  • annual community events; or,
  • projects previously funded by an AgWest grant.
