American Women for International Understanding (AWIU) supports and advocates for the work that women leaders and female-oriented nonprofit organizations are doing around the world to build a more just, economically-sound, and humane society.

AWIU provides Global Micro-Grants to grassroots women’s groups in developing countries for short-term, concrete projects.
