Nonprofit organizations, Tribal Nations, and fiscally-sponsored organizations
The following organizations and activities are ineligible for this grant:
- general operating requests for ongoing work, organizational development, building costs, or existing programs that are not time-sensitive or urgent;
- travel expenses or conference fees;
- projects sponsored by a government agency (with the exception of Tribal Nations);
- partisan or political activities;
- endowment funds or capital campaigns;
- individual applicants (grants are awarded to organizations only);
- for-profit entities, including those with nonprofit fiscal sponsors;
- events or activities that have already taken place; and,
- pre-planned or recurring events that are part of an organization’s regular calendar (e.g. annual retreats, annual lobbying days).
