Eligibility Details

Nonprofit organizations, Tribal Nations, and fiscally-sponsored organizations

Restriction Details

The following organizations and activities are ineligible for this grant:

  • general operating requests for ongoing work, organizational development, building costs, or existing programs that are not time-sensitive or urgent;
  • travel expenses or conference fees;
  • projects sponsored by a government agency (with the exception of Tribal Nations);
  • partisan or political activities;
  • endowment funds or capital campaigns;
  • individual applicants (grants are awarded to organizations only);
  • for-profit entities, including those with nonprofit fiscal sponsors;
  • events or activities that have already taken place; and,
  • pre-planned or recurring events that are part of an organization’s regular calendar (e.g. annual retreats, annual lobbying days).
