Description:

If the current funding environment is making you feel on edge, it’s time to channel that angst into action.

In this session, we’ll tackle the concerns that even the most seasoned grant professionals face. Perhaps your grant funding has plateaued despite your best efforts, leaving you wondering how to break through to the next level. Maybe you’ve recently celebrated a major award, only to feel the pressure of figuring out how to top it. Or you might be searching for new strategies to connect with funders who increasingly prefer to seek out grantees, rather than respond to traditional applications. Whatever your situation, this session offers insights to help you move forward with confidence.

Join Susan Schaefer as she introduces a fresh approach grounded in today’s philanthropic trends—whether it’s shifting award sizes or how funders make decisions. You’ll leave with practical, cross-departmental strategies that turn your next big grant into a true team effort.

You’ll learn:
  • how to decode the psychology behind major foundation investments;
  • the key trends shaping how funders are responding to current events—and what that means for your proposals;
  • how to overcome the perception that past success makes your nonprofit “less in need” of funding; and,
  • how to shift from chasing one-off grant wins to building a strategic, sustainable approach that funds your organization’s boldest initiatives.

Through real-world case studies and actionable steps, you’ll leave this session with a proven model you can put to work right away—helping your nonprofit attract significant new investments.

As foundation grants increasingly divide between transformational awards and everything else, aiming for larger, budget-aligned grants can create a powerful cycle of momentum that re-engages your top funders and inspires new ones.

Who should attend:

Lead grantseekers are encouraged to invite their executive, communications, and marketing colleagues to this session. The strategies shared will emphasize an inter-departmental approach to securing a spot on your ideal funders’ award lists.

After the webinar, you’ll receive:
  • slides and handouts; and,
  • a link to the webinar recording.
