The Samara Fund's mission is to help create a vibrant Vermont lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community and ensure that LGBTQ+ Vermonters are connected, healthy, appreciated, safe, and empowered.

Funding priorities include:

  • queer and trans-led projects and orgs;
  • projects that center, are led by, and/or prioritize BIPOC and/or trans Vermonters;
