Labor rights are essential not only for social equity, but for economic stability and growth as well. There are many nonprofits who have made their missions focused on the space of labor issues and labor rights. These nonprofits are only able to pursue these missions thanks to the generous funding provided by labor issue grants.

These grants can be put towards all sorts of initiatives and projects. This can include worker advocacy, programs to support exploited workers, research on employment trends and workplace development. There are, in the same vein, all sorts of organizations that provide these kinds of grants. Traditionally this included federal agencies, such as the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health or the Department of Labor. There are also many private foundations involved in this space, such as the Open Society Foundations or the Public Welfare Foundation. 

When drafting labor issue grant proposals it's essential that you accumulate relevant and accurate data. You need to prove that you have a comprehensive understanding of labor issues. Potential data could include statistics on everything from wage gaps and workplace injuries, to the economic impacts of labor protections and fair wages.
