Quebec is a nation within a nation, with a culture unlike that found anywhere else in North America. Despite its many economic and cultural strengths, there are also many challenges facing the province of Quebec, including affordability and access to healthcare. 

There are many nonprofits that have made it their mission to tackle these challenges directly. These nonprofits are only able to do what they do thanks to the generous funding provided by Quebec grants. These grants can be used to cover all kinds of purposes, from cultural preservation programs, to literacy programs or public health initiatives. 

There are many different kinds of organizations that might write these grants. This includes provincial agencies such as the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, or community foundations such as the Foundation of Greater Montreal.
