Radio is considered something of a retrograde method of entertainment and news to many, but it remains a powerful tool for reaching diverse communities in unique ways. There are, in fact, many forms of radio broadcasting that remain popular to this day. Many of these broadcasters can only create their content, of course, with the help of radio nonprofits.

And these nonprofits, in turn, can only operate with the support from radio grants. These grants can be put towards a wide range of purposes, such as launching new radio states, producing radio shows, training staff and purchasing equipment.

There are many organizations that may be providing radio grants at any given time. These traditionally included federal agencies such as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the National Endowment for the Arts. There are also many private foundations in this space, such as The Ford Foundation. 

When drafting a radio grant proposal, it's essential to use data to demonstrate that your concepts can find success and purchase. You’ll want proof of potential audiences, or how your nonprofits previous efforts made a significant difference.
