Create a Project Budget and Budget Narrative
Most grantmakers will want to see two budgets: a project budget and an organizational budget. If your organization only offers one program, then these could be the same. But if you offer several programs or services, these will be different. This section concentrates on how to develop the project budget.
This section covers:
- Project Budget
- Budget Forms
- Budget Narratives
- Matching Funds
- Administrative, Indirect, or Overhead Costs
- Sustainability
Project Budget
As previously mentioned, the budget and the approach should mirror one another. In the approach section, you write in narrative form how you are going to spend the money (who is going to do what, when, where, and how). In the budget, you demonstrate in financial form (numerically) the money you need to carry out the activities in the approach.
This sample budget form is a great help...
