Description: The Project Change Foundation supports positive change in communities across Canada. The Foundation provides small grants and mentorship support to early-stage charities in Canada with significant potential for creating social or environmental change. The focus is on charities that are community-based and committed to connecting people and empowering them to become leaders and change-makers.
Funds Boost Education Access and Career Pathways
Catapult Canada
Application deadline: June 20, 2025
Grant amount: General Stream - $25,000 to $150,000 CAD, NEET Stream - $25,000 to $100,000 CAD
Description: Catapult Canada, an initiative of the Rideau Hall Foundation, supports youth-serving organizations in Canada to design, build, scale up, and evaluate the impact of initiatives to better support Canadian youth ages 12-29 in their learning goals, especially those underserved by the education system and disengaged from education or career pathways. Funding is available through two streams: The General Stream funds initiatives that directly or indirectly support learners in communities across Canada to eliminate barriers to learning opportunities and to increase equity of access to learning pathways. The Targeted Stream: Newcomer, Refugee, and NEET Youth (NEET Stream) is for projects that are specifically designed to address the needs of newcomers to Canada, refugees, youth fleeing violence or trauma, and youth not in education, employment, or training (NEET youth). Canadian registered charities and registered nonprofits are eligible to apply.

Allstate Foundation of Canada

Description: The mission of the Allstate Foundation of Canada is to foster an environment of inclusion, involvement, and empowerment for those who experience barriers to financial independence. The Foundation supports nonprofit charities across Canada who are actively working to address and overcome the issues of domestic abuse and inclusive and accessible housing, as well as providing opportunities for Allstate Canada employees to create positive social change in their communities, mostly through volunteerism.
Legal Actions Protecting Indigenous Rights Supported
RAVEN
Application deadline: None
Description: RAVEN’s mission is to raise legal funds to assist Indigenous Peoples who enforce their rights and title to protect their traditional territories and the natural environment. RAVEN provides financial assistance for legal actions, interventions, and court processes through three programs. The Litigation Support program provides assistance for Indigenous Nations involved in legal battles to uphold their rights and protect the environment. The Community Action Fund provides financial assistance to cover the costs of court-related processes for those defending Indigenous land, culture, and sovereignty. Intervenor Support funding is provided for legal interventions that seek to influence court decisions on matters of public interest. Indigenous Nations and organizations are eligible to apply.

Funding Expands Youth Hockey Access in Alberta
Hockey Alberta Foundation: Every Kid Every Community
Application deadline: March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15, annually
Geographic scope: Alberta
Grant amount: Program grants range up to $5,000. Player assistance grants range up to $200 per player, up to a maximum of $3,000 per year.
Description: The Hockey Alberta Foundation's Every Kid Every Community program aims to ensure a gateway to playing hockey for any child in Alberta who is interested in the sport. Funding is available to assist amateur sports organizations, minor hockey organizations, youth groups, recreation groups, or any community group with an idea, project, or program that helps establish an event or program to get local children active in hockey. Program Grants support the creation or support of an existing program that will focus on recruiting new players to the game of hockey regardless of age, skill, or environmental factors. Player Assistance Grants are awarded to Local Minor Hockey Associations to assist with covering fees, equipment costs, and additional costs for kids within the community who may not have the financial means to play hockey.
Support Drives Positive Change in Ontario Communities
Ontario Power Generation: Power for Change Project
Application deadline: The remaining 2025 deadlines are June 30, September 30, and November 15.
Geographic scope: Company communities as well as province-wide initiatives in Ontario
Grant amount: $10,000 to $100,000 for the Province-Wide Empowerment Grant Program and $2,000 to $25,000 for the Regional Empowerment Grant Program
Description: Ontario Power Generation's (OPG) Power for Change Project provides support for initiatives in communities where the company operates in Ontario, as well as province-wide initiatives. The company's thematic focus areas for funding consist of protecting the planet, advancing reconciliation, supporting strong communities, and empowering the next generation. Two grant programs are available: The Province-Wide Empowerment Grant Program awards one-time or multi-year donations and sponsorships that provide province-wide benefit in Ontario. The Regional Empowerment Grant Program provides one-time or multi-year donations and sponsorships that support grassroots initiatives in one of the company's host communities.
Grants Foster Health Equity and Well-Being in BC
BC Healthy Communities Society: PlanH
Application deadline: July 7, 2025
Geographic scope: British Columbia
Grant amount: Up to $15,000
Description: BC Healthy Communities Society (BCHC) facilitates the ongoing development of healthy, thriving, and resilient communities in British Columbia. PlanH, funded by the Ministry of Health and managed by BCHC, supports Indigenous and local governments, including health authorities, to advance policies, programs, and strategies aimed at improving health equity and well-being for all. Support is available through two grant streams: Community Connectedness Grants of up to $5,000 support projects that foster relationship-building among community members and create long-lasting social networks. The Healthy Public Policy stream provides grants of up to $15,000 for projects that seek to develop new or amend existing policies to improve the health and well-being of community members. Applications for this stream must align with one or more of the following six priorities: best start in life, health impacts of climate change, communicable disease prevention and response, non-communicable disease and injury prevention, prevention and reduction of substance-related harms, and population mental health and wellness.

Description: The Innovative Communities Fund (ICF) supports projects that build the economies of communities in Atlantic Canada. The ICF invests in initiatives that lead to long-term employment and a stronger local economy, enabling communities to develop thriving industry sectors, strengthen infrastructure in rural areas, and invest in projects to help communities overcome economic issues and take advantage of new opportunities.
Nunavut Arts and Heritage Projects Supported
Government of Nunavut
Application deadline: June 20, 2025
Geographic scope: Nunavut
Description: The Government of Nunavut's Department of Culture and Heritage has issued a call for applications for projects that promote, protect, preserve, and revitalize the culture, language, arts, and heritage of Nunavut. Program areas target heritage, Inuit culture, and official languages. Eligible applicants include community-based nonprofit organizations, municipal corporations, and individuals.
