Cisco: Global Impact Cash Grant Program
Application deadline: None for letters of inquiry
Description: Cisco’s Global Impact Cash Grant Program supports social impact partners around the world who offer an innovative approach to a critical social challenge. Funding is provided to organizations and programs that focus on at least one of the company’s social investment areas: crisis response, education, economic empowerment, or climate impact and regeneration. Grants are awarded to nonprofit and non-governmental organizations worldwide with national or multinational operations. In order to be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or an organization based outside the U.S. with equivalent status and serve an audience greater than 65 percent economically underserved relative to the average standards of the target geography.
Funding Focuses on AI and the Future of Work
Dory Foundation
Application deadline: None
Grant amount: $10,000 to $250,000
Description: The Dory Foundation supports promising, early-stage nonprofit work throughout the world. While the Foundation does not have a specific thematic focus, it generally thinks ahead to a future where AI does most of what we call work today. The Foundation is broad on how that concept can be applied. Applications should respond to this question: How can we keep life meaningful and fulfilling in a world where work is automated with AI? The Foundation welcomes outreach from organizations working on something useful that could make the future better. Grants are unrestricted.
Grants Strengthen Solidarity in Disadvantaged Communities
Paul K. Feyerabend Foundation
Application deadline: Nominations and project concepts are accepted between January 1 to April 30, annually.
Grant amount: Up to 10,000 CHF over two years
Description: The Paul K. Feyerabend Foundation, based in Switzerland, aims to promote the empowerment and well-being of disadvantaged human communities. By strengthening intra and inter-community solidarity, the Foundation strives to improve local capacities, promote the respect of human rights, and sustain cultural and biological diversity. The Foundation assigns awards for exemplary achievements of community solidarity and supports initiatives that use community solidarity as the main pathway to achieve desired results. The initiatives may concern disadvantaged communities engaged in improving their livelihoods, environment, and internal organization towards securing collective rights and responsibilities. Initiatives may also involve communities of spirit willing to act in solidarity for a common concern. The Foundation works through a network of individuals that nominate awardees and new initiatives in over 80 countries. All individuals, communities, and organizations interested in applying for support should contact a nominator close to them. In the case that they don't know a nominator, they can submit a concept via email to the Foundation.
Awards Honor Housing Solutions Worldwide
World Habitat Awards
Application deadline: March 3, 2025
Grant amount: Two Awards of £10,000 are given annually.
Description: The World Habitat Awards recognize and highlight innovative, outstanding, and sometimes revolutionary housing ideas, projects, and programs from across the world. The Awards are open to projects that focus on affordable and adequate housing, have taken action to address the climate emergency, are in progress or have been completed in the last ten years, have been designed or delivered in close collaboration with the residents and local community, and are taking steps to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion. Anyone representing or collaborating on an innovative project in the field of housing can enter the competition, including non-governmental organizations, government entities, academic institutions, private institutions, United Nations programs, and individuals.

Funds Target Childhood Development in Jordan, Lebanon, Kenya, and Uganda
Grand Challenges Canada: Play Learn Thrive
Application deadline: April 24, 2025
Geographic scope: Jordan, Lebanon, Kenya, and Uganda
Grant amount: Up to $250,000 for up to 24 months for Proof of Concept grants, and between $300,000 and $1.5 million for up to 24 months for Transition to Scale grants
Description: Grand Challenges Canada, with funding from the LEGO Foundation, has launched the Play Learn Thrive portfolio to respond to gaps in current early childhood development in emergencies and education in emergencies approaches. The current request for proposals (RFP) seeks solutions to be implemented in Jordan, Lebanon, Kenya, and Uganda that create more robust support systems for children from birth to 12 years of age in complex crisis settings, with a focus on those who are left behind and whose developmental and educational needs are not being met. Legally incorporated nonprofit organizations with an active presence in at least one of the four priority countries are eligible to apply. The RFP is available in several languages on the Grand Challenges Canada website (www.grandchallenges.ca).
Grants Tackle the AIDS Epidemic in Eastern Europe and Central Asia
Elton John AIDS Foundation: Innovation Challenge Fund
Application deadline: None for concept notes (This opportunity is open until June 30, 2027.)
Geographic scope: Eastern Europe and Central Asia
Grant amount: Up to $300,000
Description: The mission of the Elton John AIDS Foundation is to be a powerful force in ending the AIDS epidemic. The Foundation has issued a call for grant proposals under the the RADIAN 2.0 program's Innovation Challenge Fund aimed at pioneering ideas which address the HIV epidemic in Eastern Europe and Central Asia—to be piloted, evaluated, documented, and if successful, disseminated and replicated. Through this call, the Foundation seeks groundbreaking approaches improving outreach and service demand, linkage to services, HIV service delivery, client retention for people living with HIV (PLHIV) and key populations (KPs), as well as creating an enabling environment for these services. Projects should address critical needs of KPs and PLHIV, promote access to quality care, and have the potential for lasting impact through sustainable, scalable solutions. Non-governmental organizations are eligible to apply.
Grassroots Women’s Groups Supported in Developing Countries
American Women for International Understanding
Application deadline: Applications will be accepted from February 15 to March 15, 2025.
Geographic scope: Developing countries
Grant amount: Up to $3,000
Description: American Women for International Understanding (AWIU) supports and advocates for the work that women leaders and female-oriented nonprofit organizations are doing around the world to build a more just, economically-sound, and humane society. AWIU provides Global Micro-Grants to grassroots women’s groups in developing countries for short-term, concrete projects. Support is provided for projects promoting advancement for women in the following areas: education, skill training, health, and entrepreneurship. Preference is given to projects that are women-led. Nonprofit organizations and women's groups based in developing countries are eligible to apply.
Prize Rewards African Organizations Tackling Local Challenges
King Baudouin Foundation Africa Prize
Application deadline: March 3, 2025
Geographic scope: Africa (except for Somalia and Tanzania)
Grant amount: A prize of €250,000 is provided.
Description: The King Baudouin Foundation Africa Prize, awarded every other year, rewards African organizations which contribute to sustainably improving the lives of people in Africa. Priority is given to initiatives that tackle challenges in Africa in transformative ways, are resilient and adaptable in a constantly changing context, have a long-term vision, and empower people to take their future into their own hands. African organizations founded and led by Africans are eligible. To ensure diversity of the laureates, for the 2025-2026 edition, organizations from Somalia and Tanzania (countries of the previous laureates) and organizations working on the themes of peace-building and women's economic empowerment (themes covered by the two previous laureates) will not be considered.

Grants Bolster Democratization Efforts Worldwide
United Nations Democracy Fund

Geographic scope: Global, with an emphasis on countries and regions that are in the transition and consolidation phases of democratization
Grant amount: $100,000 to $200,000
Description: The United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) supports democratization efforts around the world. UNDEF awards grants for projects falling under one or more of the following areas: civic engagement for climate action, rule of law and human rights, media and freedom of information, women's leadership, youth engagement, strengthening civil society interaction with government, and electoral processes (for elections scheduled mid-2026 at the earliest). Eligible applicants include civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, independent and constitutional bodies, and global and regional inter-governmental entities, with the majority of funds directed toward local civil society organizations. Preference is given to applicants from countries and regions in the transition and consolidation phases of democratization, particularly those emerging from conflict, new and restored democracies, least developed countries, and low- or middle-income nations.
European Climate Action Projects Supported
European Climate Initiative

Geographic scope: EU member states as well as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia
Grant amount: €120,000 to €1,000,000
Description: The European Climate Initiative (EUKI) funds projects in all EU member states and the (potential) candidate countries of the Western Balkans. EUKI supports climate action projects focused on the following areas: climate-neutral mobility, climate policy, carbon removals and sinks, energy transition and climate-neutral buildings, just transition, and a sustainable economy. Eligible applicants include non-governmental organizations, government agencies, nonprofit enterprises, and universities and other educational institutions based in an EU member state, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Serbia.
